The blue line and the orange line represent skewed lines. Skew lines are lines that never intersect but aren't parrallel so they are on different planes. The street sign makes a perfect example because each sign is like a plane so the orange and blue will never meet. Street signs are very helpful in this world because when driving they let us know our location. Street signs are generally located at inserctions but can be anywhere.
